Eminem‘smother Debbie Nelson, who was 69, has died following a battle with advanced lung cancer. As per sources, she passed away last night in St. Joseph, Missouri, due to lung cancer .
Eminem relation with his mother has not been very healthy, as they were publicly accused each other and Eminem has also raised voice regarding her being neglectful and abusive, often airing their dirty laundry in scathing tracks like “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.”
Further, Debbie Nelson has also sued Eminem for defamation in 1999, further straining their bond. Thereafter, she also wrote a tell-all 2007 memoir, “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.”
Over time, both have made attempts to reconcile and maintain healthy relationship, one of such instance is Eminem’s 2013 track “Headlights” wherein he expressed regret over his harsh words and apologized for their strained relationship.
