Washington – It looks like David Shaw could be making a comeback to the sidelines. The former Stanford head coach is reportedly set to interview for the New Orleans Saints’ head coaching job.
Shaw, who currently works as a top executive for the Denver Broncos, had a pretty impressive run at Stanford. He led the Cardinal to three Pac-12 titles and two Rose Bowl wins in 12 seasons. Before that, he gained valuable NFL experience as an assistant coach with the Eagles, Raiders, and Ravens.
The Saints are searching for a new head coach after firing Dennis Allen mid-season. They’re likely to interview several candidates, but Shaw’s experience at both the college and pro levels makes him a serious contender.
It’ll be interesting to see if Shaw decides to take on the challenge of coaching in the NFL again.
