WWE Association Paying off Linda Mcmahon

Together with her husband, Vince McMahon, McMahon helped build WWE into the ubiquitous entertainment brand that is now deeply ingrained in contemporary North American society. In 2007, Trump participated in the “Battle of the Billionaires” as buddy of the McMahons.

  • After leaving WWE in 2009, Linda McMahon entered conservative politics, where she served on the Connecticut State Board of Education and campaigned for the Senate twice, losing both times.
  • Trump appointed her to the position of administrator at the Small Business Administration during his first term in office after she became a Republican Megadonor. She took office in 2017 but stepped down in 2019 to lead the pro-Trump super PAC America First Action.

Why Linda Mcmahon could be a troublesome pick

Since its inception, the WWE has been notorious for its dubious and often harsh work environment. Five unnamed plaintiffs, who were essentially adolescent stagehands, are suing Linda McMahon and Vince McMahon, from whom she is allegedly now divorced. The ring boys have accused WWE stars Terry Garvin and Pat Patterson of sexually abusing them. According to the lawsuit, Linda and Vince were aware of the ring boys’ mistreatment yet did nothing to stop the same.

New and more serious accusations of sexual assault, trafficking, and other crimes have been levelled against Vince. Even though they are unrelated to Linda Mcmahon, the majority of the charges stem from Linda’s time as WWE president and she has not yet addressed the claims.

Keeping in view the above, picking Linda Mcmahon as Education Secretary seems to be troublesome for Trump Administration.
